Overview & Reviews
For 2004, the Grand Cherokee gets a factory-installed DVD navigation system integrated into the radio. Columbia, Freedom and Special Edition trims are also new for 2004. All of these models incorporate subtle cosmetic touches and equipment upgrades. Additionally, each Columbia Edition Jeep comes with a complimentary Columbia parka.
- Powerful 4.7-liter V8, all-terrain capability, roomy comfort for four.
- Noisy and unrefined, questionable reliability, trucklike on-road handling.

Grand Cherokee Rocks - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By sfwrfowler - November 5 - 10:00 amBought a New 2004 Grand Cherokee and Love it. I use it for my daily commute as well as for off-road adventures and it handles well for both. The navigation system is great especially being able to post breadcrumbs.

Perfect Vehicle - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Tom_ - October 23 - 10:00 amMy first truck. Was going to buy another sedan but decided to try the jeep. I am so glad I did. I love everything about it! So many people give compliments on it, moreso than my last luxury car.

Great Car - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By jeepcrazy - September 27 - 3:00 amGreat car! The interior is nice, but not lavish or overbearing in its accessories. Good engine, the 4.0L will get you where you want to go while not being horrible on gas millege like the 4.7L or 4.7LHO. I would highly reccomend a Grand Cherokee Columbia Edition to anyone who was searching for a vehicle.

Great SUV - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Alfred Newman - September 23 - 10:00 am1995 Grand Cherokee - 152,000 miles and still going strong. New Grand Cherokee same model V8 - loaded, better ride, acceleration, interior etc. More room in rear with spare under floor. If it continues to perform like the 95, Ill buy another one.

Second Jeep - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Foxtoad - September 4 - 10:00 amWe currently traded in our 1996 Limited Cherokee and purchased the 2004 special addition. Off the lot it is a wonderful vehicle very quite and plenty of power. The in line 6 has been around for a long time and jeep has really had good success with it. Dont change a thing. Our limited had more options than the special addition but we never used all of them any way this was perfect fit for us. Leather, sunroof, CD, steering wheel controls for radio and cruise lade out Perfect!! And the jeep is the best looking vehicle in its class.

Silver Overland - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By DMax - August 22 - 2:00 amComfortable for long and short trips alike. Great acceleration for passing. Handles road imperfections smoothly and far less body roll than my 95 Laredo, it feels good. The vehicle does seem to wander a bit in a strong cross wind. I live on a dirt road in the mountains - QuadraDrive system is sure footed on all surfaces, including ice and snow. Heated seats are great. 18-20 mpg seems good for a V-8 SUV.
